Thanks for the comment. This is a tough topic and one of the tougher parts of my job as manager of a tech team. It takes a thorough understanding of the SDLC, but also a little bit of &#039;art&#039; as you use past experiences, and potential risks to craft as accurate an estimate as you can. In the end, its also one of the more interesting parts of the job, because as you get better at estimates, you also get better at envisioning full projects and resource management.

One issue I have about your methodology is that the person estimating still has to know software engineering in and out. A novice cannot use this model effectively.</description>
